It seems the outcome of the Super Bowl has already been determined even though the game hasn’t been played on the field. It has been played by EA Sports and Madden NFL 25 in a simulation that has the game going into overtime with Denver beating Seattle 31-28.

According to the simulated game, Payton Manning will be the game MVP, throwing for 322 yards and three touchdowns. Madden NFL has predicted the Super Bowl winner correctly 8 of the last 10 games including the Baltimore Ravens hanging on to beat San Francisco in last year’s game.

In this year’s simulation, the Seahawks lead at halftime 10-7 thanks to an interception by Seattle’s cornerback Richard Sherman, but in the third quarter Denver takes the lead 21-10 but has to go into overtime for the win.
