Toby Keith has postponed a concert at the Florence Civic Center in Florence, South Carolina originally scheduled for last night Thursday, Sept. 22, to fuel shortages and rising gas prices in the Southeast region of the U.S.

Following a major gas leak on September 9, an Alabama pipeline was shutdown for several days, causing shortages and surging prices across the South. Even after the pipeline was restarted, North Carolina remains in a state of emergency so the governor of South Carolina issued an executive order to assist the flow of gasoline supplies. Because of that, the Florence Civic Center and Toby Keith touring team decided to postpone the performance until March 9 2017.

John D. Loudermilk, the man behind classics like ‘Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye,’ ‘Tobacco Road’ and ‘Indian Reservation, passed away on Wednesday (Sept. 21). The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member was 82 years old.

Dierks Bentley says ‘Different for Girls’ was a risk for him musically, but it looks like it paid off in a major way. The song recently hit No. 1, marking his 15th career No. 1 single. The song is sung with pop star Elle King.

The 15th Annual Americana Music Association Honors & Awards were held Wednesday night (Sept. 21) at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and Chris Stapleton was honored with his first-ever Americana award for Artist of the Year.
