The Maine turkey season gets underway today, May 2. The hunt gets into full swing all over the state.
The turkey season will last until June 4 with a limit of two bearded turkeys for hunters. Although it is open all over the some parts of the state, mostly far north, have certain weeks that are restricted so check with local authorities before heading out.

Even though the bag limit is two turkeys in most of the state, again, far north seven districts limit it to one turkey.

There is also a fall turkey hunt in September and October.
