MPBN has been airing Maine high school basketball tournament games for 35 years. They will continue to air the games this season. Games from Augusta, and Bangor will be covered, however, the Class A state finals in Portland will not be televised by MPBN. Here's why they won't be on.It all stems from a disagreement between Time Warner Cable and the Cumberland County Civic Center. Maine Public Broadcasting Network was informed by Time Warner Cable that it was unable to come to an agreement to continue its partnership with the Cumberland County Civic Center and will not be able to install equipment needed to produce the games.

MPBN will air 42 tournament games this season, 21 each from Augusta and Bangor.
