We spoke with Allison from Home Hope and Healing to talk about the need for assistance with home modifications for disabled families in Maine.  Home Hope and Healing is hosting a spaghetti dinner to raise money for this cause.

The spaghetti dinner will be at the Lighthouse Ministry Center on High Street in Oakland on Saturday.  It will go from 5pm-7pm.  Tickets are $7.50 each or $25 for a family of 4.  There will be spaghetti, meatballs, salads, garlic bread and desserts.

The money raised will go to Maine families that need some sort of home modification to help with a disabled family member.  Widening doorways for wheelchairs or installing a ramp or putting in a new shower for bathing.  All these things can be a financial burden to a family and make it difficult for someone with a disability to maneuver around their home.

If you have any questions about this, contact Home Hope and Healing or Accessible Living Solutions.
