Maine Heating Oil Prices

With an early onset of very cold and snowy weather, heating oil prices are rising steadily in Maine. A weekly survey has found that average cash price for home heating oil has gone up two cents in Maine to $3.66 per gallon.

We have had a very cold start to December and as the furnaces start to kick in the cost of heating fuel in Maine is costing Mainers more. The Governor's Energy Office said earlier this week that its weekly survey found the average price for home heating oil has risen 5 cents to $3.61 a gallon.

The nights are growing colder and longer, but Mainers aren't seeing a huge seasonal spike in heating oil prices.

With mornings routinely below freezing and with furnaces kicking in, there's some good news for those ordering heating oil in Maine. Prices have remained stable over the past week.
