When CBS News was in town to cover Maine's magical Ice Disk, David Begnaud stopped by the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland to see dogs rescued from Puerto Rico.
Since I cannot have an animal of my own, I decided to announce to the world what I would name my pets if I could own one. So if you're getting an animal soon, here are some creative pet names for you:
Dog: Bark Obama, Ruffles, Boba Fetch, Mozart, Steve Pawgers, Tony Bark, Walker Texas Ranger, Kurt Russell Terrier
Cat: Powder (White cat), Benedict Cumberscratch, Cider, Sulley, Soldier...
Meet brother and sister, Ewok and Midnight. Ewok is a neutered male and Midnight is a spayed female. Both cats are sweet and mellow, but can be a bit shy

The Kennebec Valley Humane Society presents Paws in the Park and KVHS adoption reunion from 10 AM-2 PM. The event will be held at the Augusta Youth Memorial Park, 22 Armory Street in Augusta near the Buker Community Center.
