Today’s R2S: Lost Maine Dog Found Alive

It was on January 4th that Sophie, Albert Silver's Yellow lab had run off while the family was shoveling snow. When the dog didn't return, Albert took to Facebook asking if anyone had seen the dog, and within hours people he didn't even know showed up and were helping to look. However it appeared their search was futile, there was no sign of Sophie and the snow was getting worse.

5 days had passed and the family had all but given up hope on finding their beloved dog. But on January 9th, 5 days after Sophie had disappeared, she was discovered. With only her head poking out of the snow, she was discovered at a campground that the family had actually already searched. After taking Sophie to the vet it was discovered she lost 5 lbs but aside from that, she was in perfect health.
