A world class violinist, who played with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, was forced to stop playing when a neurological disorder made her shake uncontrollably. Naomi Elishuv recently learned of a surgery that could help her with the shaking.

The operation was performed at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and during the operation Naomi had to play her violin. While doctors operated Naomi played her violin so the surgeon could locate the exact spot to stop the tremors. They had to attach electrodes for deep brain stimulation to stop the tremors and the only way to know where to correctly attach them was for her to play the violin during the operation.
