Police are holding a man in connection with this morning's robbery at Bangor Savings Bank in Waterville. According to a story in the Morning Sentinel, police said a man had been "detained" following an investigation, and more information would be forthcoming. Police did not release the man's name.

The robbery happened just after 9am.

According to the newspaper account, Waterville police said the bank was robbed by a single man. According to the Sentinel story, police said the man showed a threatening note to a bank teller and left with an undisclosed sum of money.
