5 Years After Daughter’s Death, Lisbon Man Got A Surprise In Mail
No matter how old they are when they pass, there is no greater pain a parent can endure than the loss of a child. Fortunately, most of us will never have to deal with that loss.
Sadly, Conrad Davis did have to endure this pain when his daughter, Nicole, passed away in 2016. Her death came following a three year battle with breast cancer. She was just 32.
Since she was 17 years old, she had helped her father run his landscaping business. She is still near to her father's heart. She's even still listed as an employee on the company's website.
Just before Father's Day, Conrad got a surprise in the mail.
According to the KJ, in the first week of June, Davis got a small box in the mail. Inside that box was another box. Inside the second box was his daughter's Saint Dominic Academy Class of 2001 ring!
There was a note in the box that explained the sender's husband had found the ring in a bag in the garage. They had no idea where the ring came from, but did some research based on the ring's characteristics. They were able to quickly track down the ring's owner, but were saddened to find out that she had passed away at such an early age.
Davis said he wants to respect the family's privacy, but did say the family was from Whitefield. Nicole had lost her ring while attending UMO, but there is no one knows how the finders got their hands on it.
Regardless, the arrival of the ring brought a little happiness to the life of a man who misses his daughter very much.
