A Billion Dollar Prize Offered For the Perfect March Madness Bracket
March Madness, college basketball’s playoffs, is coming and this year there is a chance of winning one billion dollars if you can fill-out the perfect bracket. Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert and Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffet have teamed up to offer the huge cash prize.
To fill out the perfect bracket is a near impossible feat with the odds at 1 in 92 quintillion, but if you know the sport they say the odds are 1 in 128 billion. Still, pretty steep odds.
The winner, if there is one, will receive 40 annual installments of $25 million or a lump sum of $500 million. There will be chance to win something for a less than perfect bracket: 20 first prize winners will receive $100,000 toward buying, refinancing or remodeling a house.
More details and rules will be released March 3rd when the contest begins and the website is activated.
