An article that was published on Friday at GQ.com, authored by Drew Magary, discusses the question Maine, do we need it?

This article came out shortly after Governor LePage's controversially comments this past week while discussing Maine's drug crisis.

Magary said he attended college in Maine, and can attest that "it is a legitimate state and that people live in it voluntarily."

In the article, Magary had this to say about Maine, 'Maine is our most disturbing state. It’s hardly America, really. Rather, it is a vast territorial wilderness of hill people, completely isolated from traditional American laws and customs. You can shoot a dog in Lewiston and no one will bat an eyelash. We should build a wall at its border to protect ourselves.'

He goes on to say that a key issue in the 2016 elections should be 'planned expulsion of Maine from the United States.'
