The 2015 football season starts Thursday! Time to make some predictions for the upcoming season. Thursday, I will have my AFC predictions, along with my shot at the playoffs.

NFC East:

1. Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles are loaded on offense and the defense should be improved. The best of a very weak division.

2. Dallas Cowboys: Dez Bryant, Tony Romo, Jason Whitten. The Cowboys are solid on offense. They did lose elite running back DeMarco Murray. The defense should continue to improve and the Cowboys should challenge for a playoff spot.

3. New York Giants:  Eli Manning can still be a decent quarterback and he has a good set of wide receivers to throw to. The Giants defense is decent and they should be around a .500 team

4. Washington Redskins: What a mess. Kirk Cousins is named the starting QB. The team is in a free fall.

NFC North

1. Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy and an improved defense. They will be good and should contend for the big game in February.

2. Minnesota Vikings: AP is back and if he is close to what he can do this will boost the team this season. Teddy  Bridgewater should continue to develop to be a solid at QB. They have an improving defense and they could get a playoff spot.

3. Detriot Lions: They are loaded on offense with Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson. They lost Suh on defense and this team just seems undisciplined and it feels like there window of winning is closing.

4. Chicago Bears: Jay Cutler needs to cut down on the mistakes. The offense line needs to improve and the pass defense is bad. Could finish .500.

NFC South

1. New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees lead one of the most dangerous offenses in the league. The key should be that their defense should be vastly improved. They could be a big game contender.

2. Atlanta Falcons: Could bounce back from a bad 2014. Matt Ryan and the receivers should score their fair share of points. The defense needs to improve.

3. Carolina Panthers: They had a breakout 2013. Cam Newton is dynamic but is starting the season with bad ribs. They really have an average running game and a weak core of receivers. Their defense is the heart of the team. Could contend for a wild card.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Lovie Smith is a good coach and he should start the Bucs back towards .500. The offense has great receivers and with Logan Mankins the OL should be better. Jamis Winston could be a star.

NFC West:

1. Seattle Seahawks: They are loaded on defense. The question will be will they have enough offense. I see them winning a tough division and be back in the playoffs.

2. Arizona Cardinals: The defense is strong, the questions are on offense that is lead by an aging Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald. They should contend for a wild card.

3. San Francisco 49ers: Way too much off season drama. Colin Kaepernick needs a good season. The defense is still good but I see a drop from last year.

4. St.Louis Rams: New quartback and a good defense should be good enough for7 or 8 wins in a tough NFC West.

NFC Championship Game: Green Bay and Philadelphia.
