A simply game that is mostly played in French speaking countries. Pétanque is a relatively simplistic game that involves a crushed stone court, 3 Balls or bouls if you are playing one on one, and a "jack" a smaller, brighter ball sometimes made of wood that is the mark that you try to get close to while taking turns to throw all three of your bouls.

Great question, it all stemmed from a local resident that raised $50,000 to build Pétanque courts at Mill Park. The Pétanque dream has been growing ever since at Mill Park, and now has multiple courts, lighting, benches, and even a shelter to get some shade.

If you would like to try your hand at Pétanque, stop by. Players meet at the courts at 9am everyday, except Tuesday when they meet at 4pm. There are always some players that have some extra bouls if you would like to learn.
