Augusta Kids Won’t Have to Go Hungry This Summer Break
The Augusta School Department realizes that childhood hunger is a very real thing. Oftentimes school lunch is the only full meal a kid gets all day. Summer break can be especially strenuous on families who are struggling.
To alleviate that stress, the Augusta School Nutrition Summer Program is providing free meals for kids under 18 from June 24th through August 16th. No paperwork is necessary. This includes breakfast at Lincoln School and Glenridge Apartments, lunch at various spots throughout the city, and features "BBQ Wednesdays" at Lincoln School at 11 o'clock.
