Here’s Where You Can See “Back to the Future” in Theaters in Maine
There is no denying that “Back to the Future” is one of the most iconic movies of the 1980s.
First hitting the big screen in 1985, the movie had it all. Even though there were some sci-fi elements to it (it is about time travel, after all), the movie is really an action adventure story. And, most important, it was family friendly. Unlike a lot of the biggest movies of the 2020s, there really wasn’t anything that even the youngest kid in the family should not see or hear.
It is kind of hard to believe that the movie first hit theaters in early July of 1985. Yes, it celebrates 40 years in 2025!
As part of that celebration, the classic flick is coming back to the big screen.
Where Can I See "Back to the Future" in Maine?
After a significant amount of searching online, the only theater we can confirm is showing the movie for it's 40th anniversary re-release is the Regal Cinemas in Augusta.
The Central Maine theater will be running the movie several times per day between October 31st and at least November 6th. Who knows, maybe it will stay in theaters longer. At this point, though, it appears that the last day to see it will be November 6th.
Get more details from the Regal Cinemas website.
We are sure there are other theaters in Maine that are planning the run the movie, but we have not been able to find the listing on their websites. Our suggestions would be that you call your local theater to see if they are running the movie.
There are other classic movies returning to theaters this fall. Get details about seeing "The Goonies" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark" HERE
