Body Found On Weeks Mills Road In Augusta

According to the KJ, the body was found by police detectives working on a missing person case.

The body was found a short distance from the intersection of Weeks Mills Road and  North Belfast Ave.

According to a statement on the Augusta PD Facebook page, "State Police and the State Medical Examiner’s Office were called to assist with the investigation."

Law enforcement have not release any details about the deceased and, as of early Thursday evening, the identity of the person was not known.
