After a cooler-than-normal spring, we finally got a taste of hot weather last week.

We were blessed (although some people would say cursed) with temperatures in the upper-90s throughout the middle of the week.  Of course, with the humidity, those temperatures felt more like the lower-100s.

Over the weekend, we saw another dramatic shift in weather.  Saturday was rainy, and on Sunday, we got slammed with severe thunderstorms.  Those storms seemed to linger above Central Maine for hours.

It looks like we are not done with the wild weather yet.

National Weather Service meteorologists are now calling for some nasty thunderstorms later today.

According to Weather.gov, the Augusta area could see thunderstorms on Monday afternoon and evening.  These storms could be quite severe, and contain gusty winds.

Central Maine could also see significant rainfall throughout the evening and night.  Some places could see up to an inch of rain.

The good news is that things will dry up on Tuesday.  We can expect sunny skies and a high of 87 degrees.

As of Monday afternoon, it looks like we will be back to showers on Wednesday.

The good news is that at this point, it looks like the weather for the weekend is going to be decent.
