
Country News: Troy Gentry Dies in Helicopter Crash
Troy Gentry of Montgomery and Gentry died Friday in a helicopter crash in Medford, New Jersey. Montgomery and Gentry were scheduled to perform that night at the Flying W Airport and Resort. According to theboot.com details of the crash are unknown but prior to the crash the helicopter was experiencing mechanical problems.
Country legend Don Williams died on Friday too, he was 78 years old.
Jason Aldean is working on his next album even though he just released ‘They Don’t Know’ his fourth single from his current album. Aldean thinks there are still a lot of great songs to be released from the current project but knows, typically, an album runs its course after four songs. He tells theboot.com he hopes to have his new album out by the end of the year.
Kenny Chesney’s house on the U.S. Virgin Island of St. John was destroyed by Hurricane Irma. According to people.com Chesney was not at the home at the time but he said the house is ‘gone.’ Chesney started a new foundation called Love for Love City to help as much as he can for people on the island.
