Eastern Maine Woman Arrested & Charged With Murder
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety, a 40 year old woman from Perry, Maine has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of a 50 year old man on December 26th, 2021.
A 911 call came in to dispatchers just before 9 PM on December 26th. The caller reported that a man had been shot. When first responders arrived on scene, they found that 50 year old Jason Aubuchon (who frequently went by "Cowboy"), of Eastport, had been shot. He was transported to a hospital in Calais where he was pronounced dead.
According to the press release:
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit was called to investigate the death. Aubuchon was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta where an autopsy was performed on Monday, December 27, 2021. The death was ruled a homicide. Members of the Maine State Police Evidence Response Team processed the residence while detectives continued to investigate the circumstances of the death.
On Thursday, December 30th, 2021, an arrest warrant was issued for 40 year old Danielle Wheeler, of Perry. Reportedly, Wheeler had previously had a relationship with Aubuchon.
She was taken into custody without incident. There has been no date set for her initial court appearance.
