The Hallowell Police Department is doing something amusing for the kiddos in the city of Hallowell. They are doing a reverse Trick-Or-Treating. They are whipping up some Trick-Or-Treat bags they will deliver, under CDC safety guidelines, to kids whose parents have decided not to go out for Trick-Or-Treating!

Their post on the Hallowell Police Departments Facebook page says they need candy! They need the candy to stuff in the bags that will be going to the reverse Trick-Or-Treating bags. They already have some, but really, can you ever have enough candy? They are also looking for prizes for the costume contest.

The post went on to say that they are NOT limiting Trick-Or-Treating in Hallowell, and there might be a drive-thru Trick-Or-Treat at the elementary school.

Want to donate? Great! You can drop off your donations at the Hallowell Police Station at 1 Winthrop Street ….in Hallowell. They have a couple of times….10/23/2020 4 PM -6 PM and 10/26/2020 4 PM-6 PM. If that does not work for you, give them a call at 207-623-3131 and set up a time.

Here are a few more details on how the Reverse Trick-Or-Treating will happen; the PD will take pictures of your little goblins and post them on Facebook (with parental permission, of course). We get to vote on the best costume, with a winner announced on November 2nd.

Take a little scroll down on the Hallowell Police Departments Facebook page for more updates and details.
