We will be kicking off one of Central Maine's largest food drives next month.  We will be in Randolph, Augusta, Waterville & Skowhegan collecting nonperishable food items.  Whether you are donating 1 can or an entire case of food, here are some suggestions on what food pantries are looking for:

  • Nonperishable proteins: Canned tuna, chicken, beans, peanut butter, almond butter
  • Holiday related items: Box stuffing, gravy, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce, canned veggies
  • Baby food, formula, diapers, diaper wipes
  • Snacks for kids: granola bars, crackers, juice boxes, fruit snacks, raisins
  • Condiments and spices: Ketchup, mustard, salt & pepper
  • Personal hygiene products: Toilet papers, tissues, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, laundry detergent, hand sanitizer

What not to donate:

  • Alcohol
  • Boxed cake mixes & brownies - these items require milk, eggs, oil & butter that sometimes are hard to come by.
  • Opened and expired items
