According to WMTW, a teenage boy used a stun gun to save his mother from her ex-boyfriend.

Wiscasset responded to the home on Wednesday night following a 911 hangup.

Officers found the home's door had been forced open.  They were directed to an upstairs bedroom where they found 39 year old Miles Brewer.  He was barricaded inside the room with his ex-girlfriend and her two children.

After officers took Brewer into custody, they were told that he had forced himself into the home and attacked the woman and her son.  At one point during the attack, the son used a stun gun on the man, giving his sister enough time to call 911.

Brewer is facing multiple charges including: domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, aggravated assault, criminal threatening, burglary, and OUI.

If it weren't for the quick thinking brother and sister, the situation could have been much worse.
