On Thursday May 11th, a camper trailer in Hancock County caught fire.

The Mariaville Fire Department responded to the scene. According to WMTW, the fire occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Freedom Ridge Road.

It is reported that the remains of a human were discovered by the fire crews inside the camper, and it is suspected that they belong to 34-year-old resident, Tyler Anderson.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

According to WMTW, the authorities have not yet confirmed the identity the remains through DNA testing however they due believe they belong to Anderson.

Maine State Fire Marshal investigated throughout the morning and it's reported that currently foul play is not suspected.
