BrickUniverse Is Coming to Portland, Maine With Massive LEGO Creations, Interactive Builds and More

If you’ve got a LEGO fan in your house, or you were the kid who could spend hours building something only to tear it apart and start over, this looks like a pretty fun way to spend a fall weekend.

BrickUniverse is coming to Portland, Maine, on October 3 and 4, 2026, at the Portland Exposition Building. It’s basically a huge LEGO fan event filled with some seriously impressive creations, along with plenty of opportunities to actually get in there and build something yourself.

It’s More Than Just LEGO Sets on Tables

And this isn’t just rows of LEGO sets sitting on tables. There are large-scale displays, LEGO mosaics, world landmarks, life-size sculptures, interactive exhibits, building zones, photo opportunities and creations from both experienced artists and local builders.

There’s even a Fan Zone where people can show off their own original builds.

I think that’s probably what makes this one interesting even if you’re not completely LEGO obsessed. There’s something pretty fascinating about seeing what people can make out of thousands of tiny bricks, especially when you get up close and start noticing all the little details.

What to Know Before You Go

The Portland event runs Saturday and Sunday (October 3-4) with morning and afternoon admission sessions. If your kids are into LEGO, or you still have a bin of bricks somewhere in the basement, this might be one to put on the calendar.
