Comedian Jim Gaffigan Describes Maine City as ‘Tundra Full of Alcoholism & Depression’
I was recently reading somewhere that Americans spend about 10.5 hours per day online. Sure. a lot of that encompasses what we do at work, but a good portion of that is also just doom-scrolling.
Maybe that's why I'm always coming across these videos that I feel so compelled to share with my audience. As you can imagine, my feed is typically filled with motorcycle, boating and camping content.
However, as of late, I've been getting a lot of competitive eating and standup comedy, too. Perhaps this is why the hilarious, and maybe even a little offensive, video from Jim Gaffigan came soaring through my feed.
Sure, my algorithm has been trained to show me stand up comedians, but this video is specifically about Maine. So clearly it makes sense that the TikTok overlords would send it into my FYP.
Gaffigan recently uploaded a video to his TikTok page where he talked about a recent trip he made up to Bangor, Maine. He went on to explain that when he travelled here it was the middle of winter- February to be exact.
He then went on to explain how locals here are always urging our winter visitors to come back during the summer so that they can get the true Maine experience. Jim, however, did not mince words when responding to that suggestion.
Check out what he had to say about the seasons in Maine below.
