Exclusive: Maine Woman Shines at the Emmys While Meeting Jeremy Allen White

On a typical Wednesday at work, an unexpected twist unfolded when Danica Hemond's boss announced an Emmy ticket raffle for the department. Danica is a Maine native who moved to Los Angeles and has been working at a contemporary art museum for the past few years.

Getting the chance to go to the Emmy's excited Danica so much, and she wished that she was going to be the chosen one. Fate swept in, and Danica's name was pulled!

I was lucky enough to chat with Danica about her night at the 81st Emmy Awards, and what an adventurous story it is!

After reality set in that she was actually attending the Emmy's, she told me she borrowed a dress from a friend and did her own hair and makeup. She joined her bosses in prime floor seats, even being surprised with going to an exclusive afterparty!

The star-studded event left a smile on her face for three hours straight after seeing icons like Carol Burnett, Bill Hader, Niecy Nash, Bob Odenkirk, Aubrey Plaza, and Jessica Chastian.

When the moment arrived to attend the coveted after-party, Danica's mission was clear. She wanted to snap a photo with someone, ANYONE, noteworthy. This I can completely agree with!

Navigating the surreal atmosphere, she decided to jump in with both feet, and who did she find herself standing in front of?

None other than Jeremy Allen White, star of Hulu hit series The Bear.

Her boss encouraged her by saying, “GO GO GO THIS IS YOUR SHOT!" So she went up to the popular star, introduced herself, congratulated him on his Emmy win, and took a snapshot that marked the perfect end to the star-studded evening.
