Swifties Will Love This Taylor Swift Ice Skating Night at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine
Skating at Thompson’s Point is one of those winter activities that just feels fun. The air is cold, the lights are on, and music plays while people of all ages take to the ice. Some glide effortlessly, others hang onto the boards, but everyone is there to enjoy themselves.
There’s something special about stepping onto the rink, even if you’re not a confident skater. You laugh, you wobble, and you keep going. Whether it’s a night out with friends, a casual date, or a family outing, Thompson’s Point makes skating feel welcoming, relaxed, and exciting all at once.
Now, they’re turning things up a notch with an exciting new twist. This January, Thompson’s Point is launching Skate & Sing, a brand-new series of music-themed skating nights that combine skating, sing-alongs, and pure pop-fueled fun.
Kicking off on January 9, the very first Skate & Sing night will be Taylor Swift Night! Skating and singing along to Taylor Swift songs might be the perfect winter combo.
There’s something magical about gliding across the ice while belting out your favorite lyrics, whether you’re confidently cruising the rink or clinging to the boards. Taylor Swift Night at Thompson’s Point turns a classic skate into a full-on sing-along, where shared choruses, themed outfits, and Swiftie energy make the cold fade away and the fun take over.

The fun doesn’t stop there, January will also feature a Disco Night, followed by Emo and Pop Punk as well as Country themes in February.
To wrap up the series, March will bring a dose of nostalgia with Disney Classics, perfect for skaters of all ages.
With select Fridays dedicated to singing along, themed outfits encouraged, and the rink transformed into a full-on musical celebration, Skate & Sing is shaping up to be a must-do winter event at Thompson’s Point.
