Get Away to Bethel, Maine, With a Stay in This Luxury A-Frame Airbnb
The town of Bethel, Maine, has changed a lot since I was a kid. My mom grew up there and we would take the 30-minute drive from our home in South Paris to visit my grandparents in the big yellow house with an attached barn, where my grandfather would do all kinds of woodworking projects and other tinkering.
Bethel has always been a beautiful little town, but it has done a lot of growing over the years, along with the nearby Sunday River ski resort. The skiers that come from all over the country to hit the slopes have helped the town grow without losing its charm.
That growth has also lent itself to the building of many new homes and rentals for those skiers who may not want to stay at the ski resort.
One of the most unique of these newer homes is a beautiful A-Frame that is listed on Airbnb. It comes with a ton of amenities like a waterfall shower and a heated toilet seat in the master bedroom. The floors are heated too!
There is room enough for 10 people with three bedrooms, six beds, and three bathrooms. It was designed by the owners with families and groups of friends in mind.
If you want to spend some time outdoors, there's a fire pit and hot tub available.
If you happen to own a Tesla, there's a free charging station on the property.
Take a look at this tour of the home on YouTube.
How much does this all go for on Airbnb? $669 per night, but since it sleeps 10 people, you can split the cost among the group. Talk about a great, affordable weekend getaway or a week's vacation.
