Florida Man Faces Numerous Charges After Driving Erratically on I-95 in Maine
According to an article on the WABI website, a Florida man is facing multiple charges after Maine State Police said he drove a box truck erratically on Interstate 95, including traveling the wrong way in the southbound lanes and driving in circles in two Bangor parking lots.
Julio Matos, 36, is charged with criminal OUI, driving to endanger and failure to notify of a motor vehicle accident.
State Police said they received fourteen calls to 911 at about 5:30 PM Wednesday reporting a box truck being driven erratically on I-95 in Old Town.
According to police, the truck drove through a closed gate at the weigh station before continuing southbound. Matos then exited the highway at Hogan Road in Bangor and got back onto I-95 traveling northbound.
Police said the truck later crossed the median and began traveling the wrong way in the southbound lanes. The vehicle eventually corrected course and entered the Lowe's parking lot in Bangor, where it was reportedly driven in circles.
