While Labor Day weekend is generally thought of as a time for cookouts and getting one last taste of summer, it should also be known for something else - buying a new car.

According to a recent article from J.D. Power, this month may see the highest new vehicle sales numbers since 2006, the article also estimates that approximately $36 billion will be spent on new cars in August, which would also be a record.

Locally, there are plenty of great Labor Day car sales going on this weekend, and Emerson Toyota in Auburn is no exception.

Located "just minutes from where you live," Emerson Toyota has a philosophy of  treating other people not just the way they would want to be treated, but like they want the most important people in their lives to be treated. Emerson has sold and serviced thousands of vehicles all over Northern New England.

While August is shaping up to be a record-setting month, there are still cars to be had and deals to be had as well. According to this article in Time, automobile dealers will looking to boost August sales as high as they can, as September is traditionally a slow month for car sales. As a result, shoppers in the market for a new car would be well served, to delay the barbeque and hit the car lots this weekend.

This post is sponsored by Emerson Toyota in Auburn. With more inventory on hand than ever, Emerson has 0% financing available on 11 different Toyota models and has available rebates as high as $2,750.
