Maine Powerball Jackpot Winner From Florida Helping Out Maine School

Remember Gloria MacKenzie? The former Maine resident who won the BIGGEST Powerball jackpot in history (so far) is helping out her home state in a big way!

And it's something we should learn from.

She is donating the $1.87 million dollars needed for repairs at Schenck High School. It has a leaky roof and many other repairs and the community did not know what they were going to do about coming up with the money.

Obviously, Ms. MacKenzie still has ties and warm feelings for her home state.

If only all millionaires could do the same. Sure they give to GIANT charities but what is that old saying: "Charity Begins At Home"? Thank you, Ms. MacKenzie!
