Maine Ranked in the Top 10 For Veterans to Retire

As we take time to honor veterans on Memorial Day, a new survey points to Maine as one of the top 10 states in the nation as places for veterans to retire.

Maine excelled in many areas and a survey found Maine ranked in the top 3 states for quality of life and 13^th for health care. There are a lot of veterans per capita in the state and the system really helps retire vets.

Maine also ranks first in population over 40 years old which gives Maine a lot of arts, leisure and recreation options that make the state a great place for veterans or anybody to retire to.

More than 42 million Americans have served the nation during wartime.
