Maine Restaurants & Bars Open on Christmas Day in 2025

When it comes to businesses here in the United States, Christmas is one of those big holidays.

Like the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and New Years' Day, most businesses are closed on Christmas Day.  Offices, stores, and most restaurants are closed that day.

Because most people choose to eat a big meal with the family at someone's home, this is not a huge deal.  For most people, at least.

However, there are some people who lack a place to eat Christmas dinner, people who are on the road, and families who just don't want to burden a few family members with the chore of cooking a fancy dinner.

Fortunately, for those situations, there are a number of restaurants in Maine that will be open on Christmas.  In some cases, these restaurants are serving a special Christmas dinner.  In other cases, they'll be open with a normal menu.  And, some just plan to open later in the day so that you have a place to go after you're done spending time with your family.

As you can see, in some cases, like with the Samoset Resort and Natalie's at the Camden Harbour Inn, these meals are high end.  In other situations, like with Annette's Diner, you'll be able to get yourself an old-fashioned home cooked meal.
