Maine Woman Wins Mad Cash On Wheel Of Fortune

Last week, a Caribou woman's life long dream came true - she had a chance to appear on Wheel of Fortune.

According to the Bangor Daily News, Elaine Deslatte won nearly $23,000 in cash and prizes on her Thursday night appearance on the popular game show.

Deslatte said the experience was basically how she imagined it.  While she was excited to win cash and prizes, she was just as excited to meet Pat Sajak and Vanna White.  She said they were very friendly.

She also said they did a great job of keeping everyone safe amid the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

Deslatte, a retired nurse, said the second the show started airing she began getting text messages and social media messages from people she had not spoken to since she graduated high school.

With her winnings, Elaine and Dennis, her husband of 36 years, plan to make a trip to St. Lucia in the Caribbean.
