Maine’s Gambling Addiction Ranked 39th in the Country
Whether we like it or not, gambling exists in every state, even in states where it’s illegal some form of gambling is played. Betting on sports games to making a $5 bet you are right about a movie. In Maine gambling is legal and we seem to have things under control.
A list of the top states addicted to gambling shows Maine at 39th on the list, not bad considering there are only 50 states. Utah, where gambling is illegal came in as the least addicted state at #50 but it’s illegal in Hawaii too but they came in at #27, go figure.
Not surprising Nevada is the #1 most gambling-addicted states followed by South Dakota at #2, Mississippi at #3, Montana at #4 and Oklahoma at #5.
Other than Utah as the least addicted state there is Nebraska, Alabama, Arizona and Kansas.
Maine did very well in total score with a 22.19. Considering the least addicted state, Utah, has an 18.18 total score, Maine is doing a good job of getting the word out about the possibilities of gambling addiction and its treatment. Maine ranked 24th in helping people who are addicted.
