Maine’s Rick Pinette From the 70’s-80’s Band ‘Oak’ Dies
Rick Pinette and the Maine based band Oak where popular in Maine during the 1970s and 80’s. They played many local venues and where often heard on the radio. Pinette passed away on Sunday at the age of 63.
Pinette was born in New Hampshire but live in Southern Maine during the peak of Oak’s popularity. Oak had three top Hot 100 hits on Billboard but the bank broke up in 1981.
Pinette went on to become a pastor and member of the Jim Bakker Show Morningside Band. He died unexpectedly at Morningside Church in Blue Eye, Missouri where he was the lead pastor.
