On Sunday, Karcewski allegedly entered the Walgreens pharmacy, delivered a threatening note to the pharmacist, and left with an unidentified narcotic medication. The amount of medication has not been revealed either. It has also been reported that this is not he first time he has done this. He previously served time for the 2012 robbing of the Augusta Rite Aid. He was sentenced in March 2014 to five years in prison, with all but an initial two years suspended, followed by three years of probation. He also was fined $425.

Karcewski, a transient, was arrested Tuesday morning on a warrant for probation revocation and later in the day was charged with the robbery. His bail is currently set at $10,000 while he is held at the Kennebec County jail.
