I have had the ingredients for these for 2 weeks and I FINALLY got time make them! It's one of those that my family, who never asks me to cook, likes me to make!

If you like the combination of chocolate and peanut butter (think Reese's Peanut Butter Cups) then THIS is the dessert for you! It is rich but definitely worth having 1 piece.

INGREDIENTS:

Cookie Layer
8 medium sized butter or chocolate chip cookies
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, melted

Chocolate Layers
15 ounces (2 1/2 cups) milk chocolate chips

Peanut Butter Filling
1 1/2 cups of creamy peanut butter
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
3 cups confectioner's sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Crush cookies until finely ground. Add butter and mix together. Press mixture into 8X8 pan and bake for 10 minutes. Cool to room temperature.

Melt chocolate in microwave. Pour half onto cookie crust and spread. Put in fridge to cool. Keep rest of chocolate warm.

Blend peanut butter and butter together until smooth. Add in sugar gradually and blend. Add vanilla. Blend until smooth. Put entire mixture on top of chocolate layer and spread evenly. Refridgerate until set.

Pour rest of chocolate on top and refridgerate an hour or until firm.

Be careful....these are wicked yummy!!
