One of the great things about living in mostly-rural New England is the fact that we have outdoor activities year 'round.  Unlike some places, where there are some times of the year where you are stuck inside, we have stuff to do in all four seasons.

We've got ATVing and hiking during three of the four seasons, lakes and the ocean during the summer, and hunting in the fall.  Then, there's winter.  We've got snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding and TUBING!

Tubing is one of the best ways to spend time outside during the winter.  Unlike skiing and boarding, it really does not require any special skills.  You don't really need to learn how to do it, and practice how to do it, in order to have fun doing it.

What Is Snow Tubing?

Snow tubing is exactly what it sounds like.  Participants ride an inflated tube down a fairly shallow snow covered hill.  Clearly, you can do it on any hill you'd normally go sledding on, but there are also whole tubing parks developed around snow tubing.

These parks are often a side attraction at Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts ski resorts.  And, even cooler, many of them offer night tubing.  Night tubing often includes blasting music, and nightclub style lighting.

We've put together a list of some of the best tubing parks in Maine and New Hampshire.  Clearly, if we missed one, please send us a message to let us know what needs to be added to our list.

Once you pick a tubing park to visit, please make sure you call ahead or check their website.  Like all other winter activities, these parks are subject to issues with the weather.
