With online streaming services being all the rage for some time now, and certainly becoming ever more popular as people have been forced to be home because of the pandemic, one service is stepping out to crack down on password sharing....Netflix.

Netflix is rolling out a test that will require additional authentication when logging in to ensure you are suppose to be associated with that particular account. Of course for many families or even friends the big question is ...what exactly do they mean by "password sharing?" After all, even in the terms of service for the streaming network it eludes to the fact that the password is for personal use and isn't to be shared with anyone that is outside of your home.

That seems to be the key issue in this crack down according to an article by CNBC. They are not looking for families that share a password but rather people who may obtain passwords from hacking or elicit sources and then sell or share that info.

So bottom line, don't fret unless you obtained your Netflix password from someone or some place unsavory.
