New Maine BBQ Restaurant Will Feature Axe Throwing
Over the last few years, axe throwing has become a really popular hobby. Yeah, it is not just for lumberjacks anymore. Axe throwing venues have started popping up everywhere. Probably the most well known of these is Urban Axe - they have locations across the country, including in Boston.
Right now, the closest axe throwing venue to Central Maine is in the Portland-area. That's about to change, though.
According to WABI, a new BBQ restaurant in Bangor will also feature axe throwing!
Smoke & Steel BBQ will open in the old Kashi Japanese Steakhouse location on Stillwater Avenue.
According to the owners, Smoke & Steel will be a traditional BBQ restaurant (ya' know, ribs, pulled pork, etc) that will feature live music and... AXE THROWING!
What could be better than ribs, beer, and tossing an axe!
While they have not set a definite opening date, they hope to open in late spring or early summer. And, when they get closer to their opening date, they'll be hiring for all positions, including a pit master.
