Over the last few years, Laura and the crew at The Red Barn restaurant on Riverside Drive in Augusta have gotten creative with the moveable type on their sign.

Back in the days before the pandemic, it was often used to advertise upcoming live music, special events, or menu specials.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March, they have REALLY stepped it up, using the sign to feature uplifting messages or inspiring quotes from celebrities.

The new, Halloween-themed, message strays from that method...  just a little.

That being said, it is a humorous message that most everyone on Earth (or, at least, those of us who have not been napping for the last seven months), can agree with!

What do you think?  Yeah, I got a chuckle out of it the first time I drove past.

In addition to the sign, they recently unveiled a new outdoor dining enclosure.  Ya know what, let's call it a pavilion.  Basically, it will provide diners with shade on really sunny days and some protection from the elements on cooler and rainy days.  Their hope is to use this to allow for outside dinning later than they normally would.

If you've never been to The Red Barn, you really need to grab lunch or dinner there sometime soon.  Their fried chicken, fish n chips, and clam baskets are amazing!  And, if you've never had a lobster roll, your first one needs to come from Red Barn!

Find them on Riverside Drive in Augusta.
