September 25th is ‘One Hit Wonder’ day, a day to celebrate the artists that made it big, one time, and then could never match that kind of magic again. Here is a list of country artists and the songs that made them ‘One Hit Wonders’.

10. James Bonamy with ‘I Don’t Think I Will’, his only top 20 hit.

9. Davis Daniel and ‘For Crying Out Loud’, his only top 20 hit from 1991.

8. Trailer Choir and ‘Rockin’ The Beer Gut’, the band is gone but Big Vinny from the band appeared on the Biggest Loser. He's in the picture on the right.

7. Cyndi Thompson with a song that wen to #1, ‘What I Really Meant to Say’, she had two other songs in the top 40 but quit the music business without warning.

6. The Pirates of the Mississippi had only one top 20 hit and never made an official video for it, ‘Feed Jake’.

5. The Tractors from 1994 and ‘Baby Likes to Rock It’. They did put out 6 albums but never did much on the charts after their ’94 hit.

4. George Ducas and ‘Lipstick Promises. It went top 10.

3. Terri Gibbs is a ‘one hit wonder’ because she is only known for one song, ‘Somebody’s Knockin’ which went top 10. She did have 5 other songs crack the top 40 but not that memorable.

2. Perfect Stranger with ‘You Have the Right to Remain Silent’ went top 5 in 1995.

1. Heartland and ‘I Loved Her First’ which went to #1 in 2006. A great song that became a favorite at weddings, but was their only hit.
