Peaceful End to Auburn Standoff

Auburn Police say this afternoon (Jan. 11) around 1pm, a man called saying he was suicidal. Police were able to get the man, at a home near Chickadee Drive, to exit peacefully.

According to WMTW, a husband and wife got into a dispute, that escalated. Maine State Police were on scene assisting.

The man was taken to St. Mary's for evaluation and will likely be charged with creating a standoff.
