The Portland City Council will be voting tonight on two ordinances that have plenty of people talking. One would charge five cents for disposable bags at stores that sell food. The second one would ban plastic foam containers, also known as Styrofoam.

The fee would only apply to retailers that sell food, like grocers, convenience stores, and farmers markets. The fee would not apply to restaurants and dry cleaners.

Environmentalists support the ordinances and the Maine Grocers and Food Producers Association and the Retail Association of Maine are against them.

What do you think? Answer our 'Question Of The Day': Do you support fees for plastic bags and the ban of Styrofoam containers?
