Snowmobile enthusiasts will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest snowmobile parade this Saturday in Rangeley. It's all part as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Northern New England.The parade will start at 1 p.m. in Oquossoc and the parade route will go 32 miles into Rangeley, across Rangeley Lake and back to Oquossoc. A 5 year old girl from Lewiston, Ayisha, who has cystic fibrosis, will lead the parade.

Snowmobile riders will pay $10 for Rangeley World Record Snowmobile Ride gear and to participate. Non participants may also buy the special gear, which will be sold at Rangeley businesses and the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce.

The current world record for the longest snowmobile parade was set by a group of 820 riders in Roseau, Minnesota in 2004.
