Jason Keaten, 39, was arrested back on September 11th and was charged with several drug crimes. He was charged with aggravated trafficking in a schedule W drug and possession of a schedule W drug.

According to the Kennebec Journal, the charges were raised to aggravated because of the amount of fentanyl that was found during the arrest. Keaten was in possession of more than 6 grams of fentanyl, needles digital scales, other drug paraphernalia and more than three grand in cash.

Keaten was just indicted by a grand jury in Somerset County during which time more charges were added including unlawful possession of scheduled drugs and criminal forfeiture. The article goes on to explain that an indictment is not a determination of guilt, but is cause to move forward with a trial based on sufficient evidence of the accused crime.

Schedule W contains amphetamines, cocaine and its derivatives, heroin and similar opiates, and other drugs that are considered the most serious
