I made another trip to the local dollar store and I must say I love the things that I found. The latest 'Dollar Store Discovery' is a 'Jumpin' Frogs game.
I love Throwback Thursday! Last Thursday, I posted about back to school shopping at stores that are no longer around. Wow, did you add a lot of stores to that list. This time around, I am doing a post on games that I used to love when I was a kid.
Even though the National Championship play-in games are over there are still bowl games being played. The College Football National Championship game between Ohio State and Oregon will be the final college game of the year on January 12.
Three College Football Bowl games played, two were not very exciting (except for the winning schools) but one was close and went down to the last second of play.
Three more bowl games are in the books, The Heart of Dallas Bowl, the Quick Lane Bowl and the St. Petersburg Bowl. In two of the games the team with the winning record won and in the third, one team dominated for three quarters and a try for a come back in the fourth came up short.
Two College Bowl game play the day before Christmas, the Popeye’s Bahamas Bowl and the Hawaii Bowl. One was much more exciting and close than the other, here’s the wrap up.
College football bowl games start this Saturday with 5 games. The biggest bowl games will be played on January 1st when the playoffs for the National Championship get underway. The two playoff games are Alabama and Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl, Oregon and Florida State in the Rose Bowl.
December is ‘Bingo’ month. The game made its debut in December of 1921 and has been a popular game ever since. The original name was ‘Beano’ until toy salesman, Edwin S. Lowe, heard an excited winner yell out ‘bingo’ when they won a game at a carnival.

Last week I asked Bee Nation for ideas on making my vacation kickoff party a success, for those who are good friends of mine, they now I am famous at throwing some uneventful parties. You guys commented with plenty of great ideas and yesterday I took some time and found some fun games that I think will make this Sunday's party a success!
For those you know me, when I plan a party, they are usually as exciting as going to DMV to renew your drivers license. That doesn't stop me from trying, much like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football.
Well, yesterday, if you were all listening to B98.5, I wasn't able to get to work. Not only did the best babysitter in the world get stuck in her driveway, but I got stuck in MY driveway with the BEE van!
So, Brad, Anderson and I decided to pass the time...playing cards!
And this was SO EXCITING!!! WHY? Watch and see!

You probably think of Monopoly as that excruciating board game you have to play with your family, unless your mom likes to make her nephews cry and it gets banned from the house (thanks, Mom!). It turns out it's not the Parker Bros.' fault that the game is so mind-numbingly dull -- it's yours. You've been playing it wrong all these years.
I grew up playing games ALL THE TIME! We had so many board games. We had Parcheesi, Life, Monopoly, Scrabble, Battleship, Chutes and Ladders, Candyland...all the greats!
My parents were incredible card players. They taught me how to play Solitaire at 5. I was also my father's Pinoccle partner at age 8.
But there is one game I JUST learned how to play!
